.....80 years young.....

Yesterday, November 6, my grandmother turned 80 years young. Kevin, the girls and I sent her balloons and flowers and made her a nutty butty cake. Nutty Butty's are her absolute favorite sweet snack. We usually get her a box of them for each holiday, and we gave her a partial box this year. Kaitlyn decided she needed one before we took her the box. Oh well.

She called when the balloons were delivered and left a voice mail on my cell phone. She said, "Tab, this is your Bennie. I just wanted to call and thank you and your family for all of these balloons. AND THEY SANG!!! I'll see you when I see you." Yes, one of the balloons sang happy birthday when you tap it. Elaina had a blast with that particular balloon. Anyway, Happy Birthday, Bennie. :)

7th grade!!

I can't believe that my baby girl is in the 7th grade!!  We had a much easier morning than we did the morning she started 6th grade.  No tears!!  I was one happy mama. :)

Where did the time go and when did she get to be so big?!?!

shaving cream and silly string....

We had a back to school bash last night with our church that included shaving cream, silly string, and lots of water.  It was at the Bobitt's house - a family that attends church with us. I only got a few pictures before I was snatched out onto the porch to join in the fun, but here you go. :)

"Mom, you don't have anything left.  Here, let me help."
